Before His ascension Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit that was promised.
Nine days later in the upper room where they were praying and waiting the disciples were filled with the power of God.

Jesus didn’t suggest or recommend that they wait. He commanded them.
I believe that is because the empowerment of the Holy Spirit is essential to all kingdom work.

We have much to learn about this person of the Godhead
and His vital role in each of our lives to enable us to fulfill The Great Commission.
