Our Vision

We are finding our Real Life in Christ so that

others can find their Real Life in Christ.

For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3 (NLT)

The Bible tells us in Acts 2:44-47 that the early believers lived in harmony,
shared material wealth and pooled their resources to meet needs in the community.
They were disciplined in their pursuit of God.

Worshiping together in the temple (a place to gather) as well as at home.
They lived life with the joy of the Lord as they praised God together.

When people saw the favor of God on their lives
God added to their numbers those who were being saved.

This is our Vision because it’s God’s vision for the Church of Jesus Christ.

Real People, living Real Life,

with a Real God who has the answers.

What We Believe

 APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

THE TRINITY

It is the testimony of both the Old and New Testaments and of the Christian Church that God is both One and Triune. The biblical revelation testifies that there is only one God and that
He is eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

GOD THE FATHER

God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He created the universe in love.
He created man in His own image for fellowship and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man.

THE SON

Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him, all things were made. For man’s redemption, He left heaven
and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary; henceforth,
He is forever one Christ with two natures - God and man - in one person.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is God, the Lord and giver of life, who is active in the Old Testament and given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost. He empowers the saints for service and witness, cleanses man from the old nature, and conforms us to the image of Christ. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, subsequent to conversion, releases the fullness of the Spirit and is evidenced by the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

THE BIBLE

We affirm that the Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, was written by human authors, but inspired by God, and is infallible.  It is the Word of God, and its authority is ultimate, final,
and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct.

SALVATION

The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith.   Salvation is effected by personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification), and personal acceptance of Him into one's life as Lord and Savior (regeneration).  The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the Kingdom of God's beloved Son.

ATONEMENT

Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, but its benefits are only applicable to those who receive Jesus as their personal Savior.
Healing - body, soul, and spirit - and all of God’s provisions for His saints are provided for in the atonement, but these must be appropriated.

THE CHURCH

The church is God’s design for community. It consists of those who believe in Jesus and those who are seeking to find Jesus. The local church is a vehicle used by God to work on the earth through bible teaching, encouraging, and equipping those who have made a commitment to follow Christ and to help or rescue those who do not yet know HIM.  It is a place designed for corporate worship, prayer, and spiritual growth.

BAPTISM

Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ.

COMMUNION

Communion is a commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again; it is a sign of our participation in Him.

MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is a holy institution established by God, between one man and one woman, reflecting the nature of Christ's love and devotion for His bride, the Church.
The Bible defines human sexuality as only correctly expressed within the security and commitment of such a marriage covenant.  All other practices are described as "sexual immorality" and incongruent with following Jesus Christ.

FINAL JUDGEMENT & REWARD

We affirm the bodily, personal, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and the final judgment. The final judgment will determine the eternal status of both the saints and the unbelievers, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ. We affirm with the Bible the final state of the new heavens and the new earth.
