Should I be baptized?
Yes! Water baptism is obedience to the command of Jesus.
Peter said it best in Acts 10:47 where he commanded a recent convert to be water baptized.
Jesus Himself was also water baptized, setting an example for us to follow. (Matthew 3:13-15)
Baptism in water by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work in your life.
What does that mean?
Water baptism doesn’t save you, it’s more like an outward expression
of what has already happened in your heart.
When you’re immersed in the water, it’s a picture of the death of your old nature.
When you’re raised up from the water, it’s a picture of your resurrection-life in Christ.
You’re New. Clean.
This experience takes place after being born-again
and makes a strong public statement that you belong to Christ.
You should do it as soon as possible after you’re saved.
